Seems that the fine people of San Francisco enjoyed their pre-ban absinthe.
Drinking In Big Cities
Varies In Method
Washington Post: Sunday, August 6, 1905
“Another thing about drinking out in San Francisco: There’s a large absinthe clientele growing up out there. I was talking the other day with a friend who sells liqueurs and cordials all over the country, and he told me that San Francisco is the biggest absinthe-consuming city by all odds in the country. He told me, too, by the way, that there’s quite a good deal of the green stuff sold in Washington, considering the sobriety of the place.”
Absinthe Devil stocks a wide range of absinthe glasses and absinthe spoons as well as absinthe fountains.
