2010 Absinthe Survey Results

Absinthe Devil Survey: 2010

Absinthe was re-legalised in the USA just over 3 years ago. Since then, about 70 absinthes have been approved for US launch, of which about 45 have now been launched in the USA (May 2010).

With so much choice, Absinthe Devil is often asked for our views on what are the best absinthes, and recommendations are published on our main site. We wanted, however, to get feedback from American consumers buying absinthe, and have conducted a survey of over 170 consumers. The results are now in, and the findings are very interesting:

Pacifique and Walton Waters Added to Recommend Absinthe List

Submitted by brian on Wed, 05/20/2009 - 14:57.

We recently sampled two new American absinthe that made the cut for our Recommended Absinthe List. Pacifique and Walton Waters were both added and are top quality absinthes. We suggest you give them a try. You won't be sorry.

Remember, we all need to support American micro-distillers that produce good absinthe. We will all be happy if this industry grows and explores new avenues.

Our Recommended Absinthe List can be found here:

Help the Absinthe Review Network with a Survey

The Absinthe Review Network recently began their outreach of absinthe drinkers in the United States by launching a brief survey polling the favourite brands among consumers. TARN is looking to make this survey the largest in recent history, and has received support from The Wormwood Society, The Real Absinthe Blog, Absinthe Devil, and Drink Up NY. The results will provide valuable insight to both the curious absintheur and the growing absinthe market. Please take a few minutes and share your input:

Absinthe Energy Drink?

Submitted by brian on Sat, 01/31/2009 - 16:10.

Now I've seen everything. The link below will show you a can of Fairy Bomb, an absinthe energy drink. I'm not sure if its for real but it looks as though. It even boasts that it contains thujone. How craptastic! I'd sooner drink a can of Booty Juice from Tropical Thunder.
